WE ARE SO PROUD AND HONORED TO INTRODUCE YOU TO "YVONNE" - the most recent addition to one community's "Diversity" Program--Inspired by Evan and Buddy Booby's Birthmark!

"...I was so moved when I read your story in CNN...I decided we needed to have another diversity doll, this one with a port wine stain. Our diversity dolls are large dolls (32 to 26 inches tall) that are nearly as big as our preschoolers. We have dolls that are of various ethnic backgrounds and also dolls with various physical differences. I feel it is important for children to be accepting of all children no matter what race, creed, or physical difference they have. So, I created these dolls for them to interact with and get use to the differences, so then it's no big deal if they meet a child on the playground who is blind, uses crutches, is bald, or now, who has a birthmark. I recently finished the doll with the birthmark but I wanted to wait to introduce her until I had your book to read to the children...I want all the children I care for to understand the power of their words and to use them to help, not hurt...Her name is Yvonne...thank you for what you are doing for those children who may struggle with feeling different in a society that is not always tolerant of differences - Elishelah Wright, Director, Shantivanam Children's Community
