GLOBAL STORIES

Donna (left), Evan (center), Principal, Christina Teisch (right), St. Thomas the Apostle School, W. Hempstead, NY.  Many thanks to grades K-4 and all the staff who made us feel SO welcome! We had a blast!  Special thanks for all the effort and time put into the hall projects.  Buddy Booby was VERY PROUD to be an honored guest (as were we)!  Here's a poem, written by the school's 2nd grade teacher, Chrissy O'Toole, in Buddy's honor.  We hope everyone enjoys it as much as we do!

We are all beautiful,
yes it’s true,
even if my eyes are brown and yours are blue.
We both have beauty, deep within,
that has nothing to do with the look of our skin.
I am loving and kind, and willing to share,
You are caring and helpful, and never unfair.
It is what’s inside of us that helps us to see,
The beautiful things that make you and me!
-Chrissy O'Toole

NEW YORK, NY- Pictured are, Evan Ducker (left), Donna Ducker (middle) and Hannah Storm, CBS News' The Early Show anchor (right), at CBS-TV studio, NY. We gave Ms. Storm copies of the many supportive emails we've received from so many of you, all over the world! We wanted her to know how many lives have been touched by her contribution to our story. Thanks to everyone for your generosity, praise of the book, and congratulatory messages. We genuinely appreciate the feedback, more than you can know.

June 1st - Evan visited Erwin Valley Elementary School in Corning, NY. Many thanks to the staff, teachers, students, and PTA for their gracious welcome! We had a blast meeting and speaking to everyone. Evan is ESPECIALLY enjoying the new pet Mr. Chandler gave him as a gift--a Madagascan Hissing Cockroach. Evan has named him "Vader", and both boy and bug are doing well!
